Premier Padel Tour: Martín Di Nenno and Juan Tello to pair up after Qatar Major
According to reports, Martín Di Nenno and Javi Garrido are to part ways following the Premier Padel Qatar Major.
Martín Di Nenno will team up with fellow Argentine Juan Tello after the Premier Padel Qatar Major, which runs in Doha between April 14-19, 2025.
Why are Di Nenno and Garrido splitting?
Despite high expectations, the partnership between Di Nenno and Garrido has struggled to deliver consistent results in 2025.
Their on-court chemistry failed to produce deep tournament runs, leading them to make the tough decision to separate and explore new competitive avenues.
This split could be the first domino in a wider reshuffle among the world's top padel pairs, with potential new alliances forming as players seek better synergy and results.
The new partnership: Di Nenno & Tello
Juan Tello, currently playing alongside Tino Libaak, will reportedly make the switch to partner with Di Nenno after the Qatar Major.
This change follows their outstanding performance at the Premier Padel P1 event in Chile, where they reached the semifinals and showcased immense potential as a future pairing.
For Tello, this could be a career-defining partnership. He has faced recent challenges finding stability with a long-term partner, and many believe Di Nenno’s tactical brilliance and consistency could be the perfect complement to Tello’s explosive style.
Interestingly, this is not the first time Di Nenno and Garrido have split.
The duo previously paired up in 2019, shortly after Di Nenno made a remarkable comeback from a serious car accident that nearly ended his career.
While their professional partnership is ending once again, both players are reported to maintain a strong personal relationship.
Can Di Nenno & Tello challenge the top pairs?
With the Premier Padel tour becoming increasingly competitive, Di Nenno and Tello will have their work cut out to break into the elite ranks dominated by the likes of Coello-Tapia, Chingotto-Galán and Lebrón-Stupaczuk.
However, their combination of Di Nenno’s strategic intelligence and Tello’s power and athleticism makes them a serious threat in upcoming tournaments.
If they can quickly develop their rhythm and understanding, expect to see them regularly battling in the semi-finals and beyond of Premier Padel events.
