Our verdict
The RP 779 Whip Light is Royal Padel squaring its own circle: the house's substantial 385 g build, tuned head-light so aggressively that maneuverability reaches 70, remarkable for the mass, while the deep, cushioned strike survives intact (comfort 72, power 80). Control 72 and tolerance 70 are fair. Core documentation is incomplete as usual for the brand. Value 72 is among Royal Padel's better numbers. This is the house feel made most accessible: still planted, still elastic, no longer punishing to swing. For the Royal Padel-curious who found the Race and Fury immovable, start here.
Royal Padel's usual deep, cushioned strike is here, but tuned head-light enough that it's actually swingable in a way the brand's heavier frames aren't: a genuine achievement given how substantial this racket still is. Comfort holds up well under the mass, and value is fair by the brand's boutique standards. It's still a heavy frame at the end of the day, so players who rely on fast-twitch hands will find easier options elsewhere. Core details aren't confirmed in our data, so a demo is essential.
