Our verdict
Control-first by design, the Wilson Defy PRO V1 earns a score of 84/100 with us and suits intermediate club players who build points through placement rather than pace. Its control sub-score of 82 is the standout figure, rewarding precise drives, crisp volleys, and smart construction of rallies from the back-court. Power comes in at 76, enough to finish from the net when the opportunity arrives. All-court players who prize accuracy over aggression will find plenty to work with here.

Control-first by design: it rewards precise drives, crisp volleys and smart rally construction, and there's still enough pace to convert the net-position chances your patience creates. The build quality feels consistent and trustworthy everywhere. Transitions run slower than reaction-padel demands, long back-court exchanges ask something of the arm, and pure attacking players won't be satisfied.
