Our verdict
The Tour Final 25 edition of the Neuron 02 Edge carries the same multilayer EVA and Carbon 3K build with commemorative paint, and the numbers back the on-court feel: control 85 with power 88 is an unusually friendly split for a frame this quick to attack. Drives come off with pace, yet placement on viboras and defensive lobs stays trustworthy. The strike is firm rather than plush (comfort 70) and clean contact still matters (tolerance 69), but ambitious intermediates upwards will find it flattering rather than punishing. A lovely balance of aggression and manners.

The series story
Bullpadel Neuron
Fede Chingotto's control line
The Bullpadel Neuron is Fede Chingotto's signature line, and it carries his fingerprints in every aspect of how it plays. Chingotto built his reputation as one of padel's most composed back-court players, someone who wins points through placement and patience rather than brute power overhead. The Neuron reflects that philosophy completely. While the Vertex and Hack families chase maximum smash impact, this line is built for players who want to construct points from the back, stay consistent under pressure, and place the ball through the glass with precision rather than force.
The original 2025 Neuron arrived at PRR 90 and immediately positioned itself among the best control rackets we have tested. Bullpadel also offered a Cloud comfort trim alongside it, softening the response for players who prioritise feel over outright precision. The 2026 generation, the Neuron 02, sharpened the formula and scored PRR 92. Bullpadel released Premier Padel and Chingotto editions across that family, each with subtle tuning but the same core character. Then the Neuron 02 Edge pushed things further still, reaching PRR 93, which puts it at the joint-top of our entire database.
What makes the Neuron family genuinely unusual is that it proves a control-first racket can be a first-choice weapon rather than a compromise. Players who use the bandeja as their primary attacking shot, who prefer a composed bajada over a contested smash, and who want to stay in rallies rather than force the issue overhead will find the round-face construction built exactly for how they play. It does not load up genuine finishing pace, and it is not trying to. Its precision at the net and through the glass is more than enough to win points.
Which one should you buy?
If control-first padel is your game, start with the Neuron 02 Edge (PRR 93). It sits joint-top of our database alongside the AT10 18K Alum and earns that score through precision rather than any compromise. The standard Neuron 02 (PRR 92) gives up almost nothing in practical terms and costs noticeably less at full retail, making it the stronger value proposition for most players. We would always start there unless the Edge is available at a comparable price.
As the 2025 Neuron (PRR 90) clears through discounting, it becomes a compelling buy for players stepping into control padel or working within a tighter budget. The gap between PRR 90 and PRR 92 is real but not dramatic, and a well-priced first-generation Neuron is hard to argue with. The Cloud trims across both generations trade a small amount of placement precision for added comfort; they make sense if you play long sessions or are managing elbow issues, but if you are healthy and chasing performance, stick with the standard versions.
Underneath the commemorative paint this is the proven Neuron: placement is the real signature — lobs and víboras go where you send them — and there's still enough overhead pace to finish points properly. The strike is firm rather than plush, so arm-sensitive players should demo first, and you're paying a limited-edition premium for internals the standard frame has too.
