Our verdict
The Bullpadel Icon Cloud Juan Martin Diaz edition is a control-oriented teardrop frame built around feel and precision, reflecting JMD's legendary touch game rather than raw aggression. The Cloud foam layer in the core softens vibration noticeably and rewards players who prioritize placement and net volleys over flat smashing power. Intermediate-to-advanced players with a technical, finesse-based game will appreciate its responsiveness, though those seeking explosive punch or a wider sweet spot may find it slightly limiting at its premium price point.

The series story
Bullpadel Icon
A tribute to Juan Martin Diaz
The Bullpadel Icon honours Juan Martin Diaz, one of padel's most decorated players, and the line has climbed steadily since its 2025 debut. That first Icon (PRR 84) established a diamond shape with a genuinely large hitting surface for an attacking racket, an approach a Cloud comfort trim (PRR 83) extended the same season. The 2026 Icon (PRR 86) sharpened that formula, and an Icon Verde colorway (PRR 86) ran alongside it with identical performance in a different finish.
The 2027 Icon (PRR 87) is the series' best result yet, built around the Icon Core developed with Bullpadel Lab engineers specifically to balance power and stability, paired with a 534cm2 hitting surface -- one of the largest of any diamond in our database -- and a Custom Weight system for fine-tuning balance to the player. Every Icon generation has aimed at the same target: a diamond that hits like a flagship but forgives more than the shape usually allows.
Which one should you buy?
The 2027 Icon (PRR 87) is the pick -- the best-scoring Icon we have tested and the current flagship. The 2026 Icon (PRR 86) is excellent value once discounted and gives up almost nothing in practical terms; the Icon Verde colorway scores identically if you prefer that finish. The 2025 Icon (PRR 84) and its Cloud trim (PRR 83) are honest budget buys for players who want the Icon character without flagship pricing.
