The verdict

The Match Light 3.4 is the current 360 g Match: an even-balanced Soft EVA build under a fibreglass face producing power 72 with fair-to-firm terms (comfort 66, tolerance 66) and prompt-enough hands (68). Value 82 matches the family's best. The Light proposition stays simple: trefoil keenness minus the mass, for improvers who want to attack without carrying the weight. Against its own 3.3 predecessor this edition currently wins on price, which by Match logic settles it. Buy the 3.4, swing early, and let the soft core tidy the landings.

Currently matches the family's best value

This current lighter-weight Match genuinely matches adidas's best value in the whole family: real keenness without the extra carry weight, and the Soft EVA core tidies up landings nicely. It wins the direct comparison against its own predecessor. Control wants developing targets, and terms run firm-ish — prices rotate across the Match family's colourways, so recheck at the point of purchase for the current best deal.
