Our verdict
The Counter Vertuo 2.5 is Babolat's balanced counter-puncher: an even 375 g teardrop with an 18K face where control 76, maneuverability 76 and comfort 74 share the lead. Blocks and volleys feel pre-arranged, tolerance 75 forgives generously, and the premium face keeps touch informative. Power 72 attacks selectively. Value 80 is the card's star: 18K construction with this kindness rarely costs so little. For advanced players who counter, absorb and redirect rather than overwhelm, the 2.5 is one of the best-judged frames in Babolat's current list. An easy recommendation for the patient.

This is Babolat's balanced answer for players who build points rather than force them: control, maneuverability and comfort all share the lead, so blocks and volleys feel pre-arranged and tolerance forgives generously. The premium carbon face keeps touch shots genuinely informative. Power attacks only selectively, so committed finishers will want to look toward Babolat's Viper range instead, and the even tune won't suit players who prefer more head mass behind their shots.
