Our verdict

The Elite 02 is Gemma Triay's do-everything racket, and it plays like it. The hybrid shape and even balance keep the head where you left it between shots, so you're never fighting the frame to get from a defensive block into an attacking volley. Fibrix faces over a MultiEva core give a touch that's softer than the diamond flagships in this range, which is exactly the point: this is built for a versatile, all-court game rather than one-shot power.

We loved
  • Genuinely comfortable to play long sets with (comfort 78)
  • Even balance makes transitions between defense and attack effortless
  • Total Channel aero tech keeps head speed up despite the forgiving build
  • Wide sweet spot from the hybrid mould covers off-centre contact well
Worth knowing
  • Won't match the raw pace of Bullpadel's diamond pro-line rackets
  • Power 78 means you'll need technique to finish points outright
  • Best suited to advanced players who already play a controlled game

The series story

Bullpadel Elite

Gemma Triay's do-everything racket, now in its second generation

The Bullpadel Elite is Gemma Triay's line, and it has run under two different names across its history -- worth knowing so the family tree makes sense. It started as the Elite Light W (2023, 81 on our score), a women's-specific hybrid. The Elite W generation followed with the 2025 edition (87 on our score) and 2026 edition (88 on our score, the series' best score to date), plus a limited Rome Edition (83 on our score) along the way. For 2027, Bullpadel dropped the 'W' from the name and relaunched the line as the Elite 02 (85 on our score) -- Triay's racket, same core versatile-hybrid identity, new generation number.

Every generation shares the same brief: a hybrid shape and even balance built for a genuinely versatile, all-styles game rather than a specialist power or control tool -- the racket for a player who needs to do everything well rather than one thing brilliantly.

Which one should you buy?

Be straightforward with yourself on this one: the 2026 Elite W (88 on our score) is the highest-scoring racket this line has ever produced, and if you can still find it, it beats the new 2027 Elite 02 (85 on our score) on our numbers. The 2027 Elite 02 is the current generation and gets Bullpadel's latest Total Channel aerodynamics, but it does not yet beat its predecessor in our testing -- buy it for the new-generation construction and updated fit, not because it scores higher. The 2025 Elite W (87 on our score) is excellent value once discounted. The original Elite Light W (81 on our score) and the limited Rome Edition (83 on our score) are now dated relative to the rest of the family.

  1. 2023

The line's origin as a women's-specific hybrid. 81 on our score.

  2. 2025

87 on our score -- a clear step up in performance.

  3. 2026

88 on our score -- the series' best score, and still the one to beat.

  4. 2027

Renamed and renumbered as the Elite 02, same player, new generation. 85 on our score.
