Our verdict

The Premier Padel 26 edition moves the Neuron 02 recipe into a diamond head, and the result is a slightly sharper attacking tool that keeps most of the family's composure. Multilayer EVA and Carbon 3K give the strike its crisp, dense character; power 87 finishes points while control 84 keeps bandejas and drives on a leash, an unusually kind split for a diamond. Comfort 70 and tolerance 69 are liveable for this class but still firm. If you love the Neuron's manners and want a little more edge on the overhead, this is the variant to demo.

We loved
  • Diamond attack with the Neuron's trademark control (84)
  • Crisp Carbon 3K strike at full swing speed
  • Multilayer EVA keeps response consistent shot to shot
  • Premier Padel details on proven internals
Worth knowing
  • Firm feel over long sessions (comfort 70)
  • Edition pricing nudges value to 72
  • Still wants clean contact under pressure

The series story

Bullpadel Neuron

Fede Chingotto's control line

The Bullpadel Neuron is Fede Chingotto's signature line, and it carries his fingerprints in every aspect of how it plays. Chingotto built his reputation as one of padel's most composed back-court players, someone who wins points through placement and patience rather than brute power overhead. The Neuron reflects that philosophy completely. While the Vertex and Hack families chase maximum smash impact, this line is built for players who want to construct points from the back, stay consistent under pressure, and place the ball through the glass with precision rather than force.

The original 2025 Neuron arrived at PRR 90 and immediately positioned itself among the best control rackets we have tested. Bullpadel also offered a Cloud comfort trim alongside it, softening the response for players who prioritise feel over outright precision. The 2026 generation, the Neuron 02, sharpened the formula and scored PRR 92. Bullpadel released Premier Padel and Chingotto editions across that family, each with subtle tuning but the same core character. Then the Neuron 02 Edge pushed things further still, reaching PRR 93, which puts it at the joint-top of our entire database.

What makes the Neuron family genuinely unusual is that it proves a control-first racket can be a first-choice weapon rather than a compromise. Players who use the bandeja as their primary attacking shot, who prefer a composed bajada over a contested smash, and who want to stay in rallies rather than force the issue overhead will find the round-face construction built exactly for how they play. It does not load up genuine finishing pace, and it is not trying to. Its precision at the net and through the glass is more than enough to win points.

Which one should you buy?

For 2027, start with the Neuron 02 Edge (PRR 87) if precision and offensive angles are your priority -- the geometric head shape is still the family's sharpest tool for control-first attacking play. If you want that same control DNA in a friendlier, more manageable package, the 2027 mainline Neuron (PRR 86) is genuinely the better buy for most players: it trades a little of Edge's edge (literally) for a more even balance and noticeably easier handling. The Neuron 02 CMF (PRR 85) is the pick specifically if you want Edge's geometric shape and offensive angle but find the standard Edge's HardEVA core too harsh on your arm over a long session -- it's the same shape with a softer, more forgiving face. If control-first padel is your game and budget matters more than having the newest frame, the 2026 Neuron 02 Edge (PRR 93) and standard Neuron 02 (PRR 92) both remain exceptional and are only getting more discounted now the 2027 range has launched -- PRR 92-93 is still some of the best control-racket scoring in our entire database. The original 2025 Neuron (PRR 90) is a compelling buy for players stepping into control padel on a tighter budget. The Cloud trims across every generation trade a small amount of placement precision for added comfort; they make sense if you play long sessions or are managing elbow issues, but if you are healthy and chasing performance, stick with the standard versions.

  1. 2025

Chingotto's line debuts at PRR 90 — immediately among the best control rackets we have tested, with a Cloud comfort trim alongside.

  2. 2026

The second generation sharpens the formula to PRR 92, with Premier Padel and Chingotto editions across the family.

  3. 2026

The Edge trim pushes the line to PRR 93 — the joint-best score in our database.

  4. 2027

The 2027 refresh keeps Edge as the precision-power flagship (PRR 87) alongside a control-first mainline Neuron (PRR 86) and Edge Comfort trim.

The Neuron recipe, sharpened

Moving the Neuron formula into a diamond head makes it a slightly sharper attacking tool that keeps most of the family's composure — the strike stays crisp and dense at full swing, and placement remains trustworthy when the rally turns scrappy. The feel is firm over long sessions, it wants clean contact under pressure, and the Premier Padel edition carries a price nudge for the paint.
