Our verdict
The Metheora Dual is StarVie's flagship round-shaped control racket, built around a new Dual Density rubber that adapts to shot pace - comfortable and forgiving on slower, defensive strokes, but genuinely explosive when the swing speeds up. Two layers of 3K carbon over the round profile give it more attacking output than a typical control shape usually offers, at an even 370g with a 260mm balance. This is a serious, advanced-level frame built for a player who constructs points but still wants real pace available when the opportunity comes.
StarVie's flagship control racket does something not every round-shaped frame manages - it stays forgiving through slow, defensive rallies but wakes up with real bite when the pace increases, thanks to a rubber compound built to respond to swing speed. The layered carbon face adds attacking output most control shapes don't offer. We'd point a pure defensive player toward a softer round frame instead, but for an advanced player who wants control with a genuine ceiling, this is a serious option.
