Our verdict
The Metalbone Team Light is adidas's budget speed frame: 360 g, head-light, with an EVA Performance core and fibreglass face scoring maneuverability 82 with kind terms (comfort 78, tolerance 77) and dependable control 76. Power 70 is the standard trade. Value 78 keeps it honest. The card is the familiar light-frame constituency service: net-forward players, developing arms, shoulder-managers, all served at mid-market money with the Metalbone badge as a bonus. The 3.4 edition trims further weight; between the two, buy on price and the specimen's feel.

This brings real Metalbone character to a genuinely budget-friendly speed frame: maneuverability is excellent, and terms across comfort and tolerance stay kind throughout; structural quality feels solid despite the price. Dependable control backs it up. Power is the standard trade you'd expect from a speed-first tune, so bring your own pace, and against heavier balls the light build does yield: the 3.4 edition in the same range is lighter still if you want to compare.
