The verdict

The Cross It Team Ctrl 2026 points the budget Cross It at placement: an EVA Performance core under a fibreglass face scoring control 78 with kind terms (comfort 74, tolerance 76) and prompt handling (75). Power 68 states the genre. Weight documentation is incomplete, so check the specimen. Value 78 continues the line's honest arithmetic. For advanced players who build points and want adidas quality without Ctrl-flagship pricing, this quietly delivers most of what the Metalbone and Adipower Ctrl lines charge double for. One of the value picks of the control aisle.

The series story

Adidas Cross It

Adidas's all-court line, fronted by Marta Ortega

The Cross It is Adidas's all-court series: the rounder, more forgiving counterpart to the Metalbone, and the line associated with Marta Ortega on the women's tour. Its brief is balance: enough bite to attack when the ball sits up, enough sweet spot to defend without punishment. The family follows Adidas's familiar trim structure (mainline, Pro EDT at the top, Carbon and Team below), and the Pro EDT editions have been the quiet overachievers of the range, scoring 87 with us.

Which one should you buy?

The Cross It Pro EDT (PRR 87) is the best racket in the line and one of the best all-court frames Adidas makes, so buy it if it fits your budget. The standard Cross It 3.4 (PRR 82) and Carbon 2026 (PRR 84) are solid steps down, and the Team trim covers improvers. Attackers should look at the Metalbone instead.

  1. 2025

The mainline 3.4 (PRR 82) and Marta Ortega's edition define the all-court formula; the Pro EDT (PRR 87) tops the family.

  2. 2025

The tour-level trim — stiffer face, same forgiving geometry. The best Cross It we have tested at PRR 87.

  3. 2026

The Carbon trim steps up to PRR 84, narrowing the gap to the Pro EDT at a friendlier price.

Flagship control behaviour, budget invoice

This points adidas's budget Cross It line at genuine placement: control leads with kind terms throughout comfort and tolerance, and the EVA Performance core absorbs incoming pace obediently. Handling stays prompt across the board. Weight isn't confirmed in our data, and power asks you to bring your own finishing: the flagship Ctrl editions refine the same feel further if you're willing to pay considerably more.
