The verdict

The Tech Viper Soft is the Viper for humans. Babolat keeps the head-heavy diamond silhouette and Black EVA core but tunes the 365 g build toward mercy: comfort 76 and tolerance 74 are numbers the standard Viper cannot dream of, and the strike goes from punishing to merely assertive. The scores meet in the middle at power 82 and control 82, a genuinely balanced split that suits attack-minded players whose elbows have opinions. Maneuverability 72 is respectable for the shape. You give up the 3.0's brutality; you gain a racket you can play three times a week. Value 74 seals a sensible deal.

What we loved
Viper DNA with comfort 76: a rare combination
Balanced 82/82 power-control split
Black EVA keeps the strike consistent
Head-heavy shape still rewards a real overhead
Worth knowing
Committed attackers will miss the 3.0's raw pace
Soft tune gives slightly less feedback at full swing
Sits close to the 3.0 in price despite the different character

The Viper for humans

Viper DNA with mercy built in — a rare combination: the head-heavy shape still rewards a real overhead, the strike stays consistent, and attack and control genuinely meet in the middle. You can play it several times a week without your elbow lodging complaints. Committed attackers will miss the standard version's raw pace and full-swing feedback, and it sits annoyingly close to that frame in price.
