HEAD Extreme
HEAD's attacking family, from Coello to Josemaría
The HEAD Extreme is HEAD's flagship attacking family, and right now it is the most visible padel line on the pro tour. It has carried both Arturo Coello and Paula Josemaría in recent seasons, two players who finish points overhead and load up genuine finishing pace whether they are closing at the net or driving from the back-court. That tour presence shapes what the Extreme is actually built to do: aggressive construction of points, quick net exchanges, and the kind of vibora and smash pace that decides doubles matches at every level.
The family runs in trims rather than a single frame per year. The Pro sits at the demanding tour end, a diamond shape that rewards attacking players who are already comfortable executing the bandeja and working overhead in tight situations. The Motion trim shares the same core identity but adds speed of hand and a slightly more forgiving feel, without giving up power on finishing shots. Below those two, the One, Team and Elite cover lighter builds for players still developing their game. We scored the 2024 Extreme Pro, the Arturo Coello edition, at PRR 84. When the Motion arrived in 2025 it went one point further at PRR 85, the most complete all-round Extreme we had tested to that point.
The 2026 generation has pushed the family wider still. A refreshed Pro holds its PRR 84, the new One and One X trims add more entry points, and Paula Josemaría's Motion edition lands at PRR 86, the highest score the Extreme has ever carried in our database. That range, from development-focused One trims through to a tour-backed PRR 86, makes the Extreme one of the broadest flagship families in padel. It is genuinely rare to find a series that works for a club player still building their bajada and an attacking player who is already composed under pressure at the net.
Which one should you buy?
For most players, the Extreme Motion is where we would start. Both the 2025 edition (PRR 85) and the 2026 Paula Josemaría version (PRR 86) give you the Extreme's attacking character, solid vibora and bandeja pace, and handling quick enough to stay with the rally without fighting the frame. If the 2025 Motion appears at a discount now that the 2026 range has landed, it is one of the best-value attacking buys in the PRR database. The Extreme Pro (PRR 84, available across the 2024 Coello edition and the refreshed 2026 version) is the right pick if you already play attacking positions consistently and want the full tour-spec frame; it asks more of you overhead, but that is precisely what it is built for.
The One and One X suit players who are still finding their feet or building confidence in point construction from the back-court. They carry the Extreme name but are aimed at development rather than finishing. If you are regularly at the net and hitting overheads with any consistency, buy the Motion at full price over the One at any price. And if you are eyeing the 2024 Pro specifically, hold out for a discount; the 2026 refresh earns the same PRR 84 with an updated build, so paying full retail for the older generation is hard to justify.
