The verdict
A control-specialist diamond at 260 mm balance and 375 g, the Adidas Arrow Hit Ctrl 2026 Alex Ruiz rewards advanced players who direct the ball with precision rather than pace. Control at 85 is the headline, and the 260 mm balance keeps the frame quick to position despite its weight. Power at 68 is modest but honest: this is a frame for building points, not ending them with pace. Tolerance at 78 makes it genuinely forgiving. Our score: 80/100.

Alex Ruiz's signature frame is unusually kind for a control-specialist diamond: tolerance runs above average for the shape, and despite its substance, the head-light feel keeps overheads from feeling like hard work. Control leads clearly, precise and directional from anywhere on court. Pace on attacking overheads has to come entirely from your own technique, and players used to lighter frames may feel the weight late in a long match: not the pick for an aggressive, overhead-heavy game.
