The Viper, Veron, Vertuo, and Origin all sit under this umbrella, each tuned around a weight band that lets players reach balls that come back hard through the glass and recover quickly at the net after a bandeja that didn't quite close the point. These are frames for attacking players who close the net aggressively, finish points overhead, and need a racket that responds without lag. Construction of points from deep in the back-court is possible, but it is not what the Air family is built for.
The Air Viper has been the consistent star of this tier across three generations. Our score for the debut 2022 model was PRR 85, which was already a strong result: diamond intent at a weight most intermediates can swing deep into a match without fatigue. The 2025 Air Viper 2.5 stepped that up to PRR 87 as Babolat sharpened the feel and overhead output, while the Veron and Vertuo trims joined it at different balance and budget points.
